Welcome back! School has already drained me and I have little energy to form a sentence let alone write a coherent and interesting blog post. But here I go anyway. It hasn't even been a week since my last post, but a lot has happened! Somehow I forgot to mention the fancy TIFF party I went to last Wednesday. Unfortunately I only had the chance to see one film this year (which wasn't even that great), but luckily I have connections who got me into an exclusive party at Birks on Bloor, for outstanding women in film. Tatiana Maslany won an award, as well as Cobie Smoulders (who couldn't make it). I was lucky (and confident) enough to meet her, and I spoke to Lara Jean Chorostecki from Hannibal! Both women are incredibly small. The party itself wasn't very interesting, and there wasn't much to photograph.
My parents went to Hong Kong and got me a couple cute trinkets. I've been pining over some Asian eyeliner for a while but it's like $20 here, and (probably) similar brands are like $3 in HK.
It seems so long ago that I was last at the Design Exchange before last night (although this blog suggests otherwise, since my last post was about the camp I did there). My friend Meghan graciously invited me to be her plus one at the opening reception of Politics of Fashion/Fashion of Politics, their new exhibit. It was super fancy, I got my hair done and my nails manicured. Any party without an extensive beauty section like that will pall in comparison now. I'm planning to go back to the exhibit to take photos with my real camera, but a few photos from last night are on my
instagram and
flickr.

And finally here is what I wore today. Brendyn and I accidentally wore the same Arcade Fire shirt. I think I wear it better. The skirt is borrowed from my friend Lauren's sister, who got it in Hong Kong (it's a shame my parents didn't buy this for me while they were there...)
I really wish I had better photos of this outfit. I was wearing clear plastic boots from HK, and the skirt is really interestingly constructed (although still simple).
Bye!
